Houston Center For
Contemporary Craft (HCCC) is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to
presenting the dynamic world of contemporary craft to the Houston
community. All programs support our mission to advance education about the
process, product and history of craft.

Artist-in-Residence (AIR)
Program
The
Artist-in-Residence Program offers time and space for craft
artists to focus on their creative work and interact with the
public. The program supports emerging, mid-career, and
established artists working in all craft media, including but
not limited to clay, fiber, glass, metal, and wood. Artists
selected for the program receive a 200 square foot studio, a
monthly stipend, and professional development. Click

Asher Retail
Gallery Asher Gallery,
within Houston Center For Contemporary Craft, is a retail
showcase for acclaimed local, emerging, and international
artists in all craft media. Asher Gallery accepts work
based on a number of criteria. Appointment

Exhibition
Proposal If you are an institution,
curator or artist working with materials traditionally
associated with craft and would like to have work considered
for exhibition in the Artist Hall, Houston Center For
Contemporary Craft’s exhibition committee would like to hear
from you. HCCC is interested in proposals for regional and
multiple artist exhibitions, installations and small group

Workshop
Proposals Houston Center
For Contemporary Craft presents adult workshops and classes in
all craft media. Artists with teaching experience are
invited to submit proposals for spring/summer and fall/winter
workshops. Schedules are planned many months in advance but
proposals are accepted at any time. Click here for submission

HCCC provides craft
classes in some of Houston’s most underserved neighborhoods
and schools. Artists interested in leading community outreach
