Please join us on Saturday, December 14th, 11 AM – 3 PM, for a casual event featuring noted ceramist Tom Perry and popular metalsmith Heidi Gerstacker. Both artists are longstanding members of the Houston arts community, playing important roles in their artist guilds (ClayHouston and HMAG, respectively). They have both been represented by Asher Gallery since the early years and have been shown at HCCC many times, in a variety of exhibitions. For those whos way far away from the event, you can watch the exhibit via live stream or enjoy the rest of your time playing online blackjack from the respected casino website.

Tom Perry (11:00 am to 1:00 pm)
Tom Perry is known for his distinctive forms and colors, often coloring the clay itself, rather than glazing. As he says, “I want to create pots, whether tea cup, salad bowl, lemonade pitcher, platter, or flower vase, that, through their use, add spirit and pleasure to someone’s life. My own pleasure derives from the process of forming the vessel while the clay is plastic and malleable.”

Heidi Gerstacker (1:00 to 3:00 pm)
Heidi Gerstacker is known for her elegant formal jewelry. Her influences are far ranging: “Some may be natural; others are manmade, but either can spark an idea of form or the path of light. I take these impressions and transform them into a modern line of jewelry, sharing my vision with the wearer‘s style.”
