Texas Master Nominations

Call is closed.

HCCC is currently seeking nominations from across the state for the 2014 Texas Master. The Texas Masters Series was initiated in 2005. This distinction, which is based on peer nominations, is awarded to career artists in Texas who have dedicated themselves to the field of craft. Past recipients include Harlan Butt, Cindy Hickok, Rachelle Thiewes and Piero Fenci.

If you know someone who should be considered, we encourage you to submit his or her name for nomination. All qualified nominees must be living and working in Texas or have spent a significant time practicing in Texas. Artist nominees must work with craft media: wood, metal, glass, ceramic, fiber and/or mixed media. Candidates must have received recognition for high levels of excellence and success in their discipline and/or made a significant impact in the craft community through their work, guidance, and contributions to the field. The chosen artist will receive a one-person show and serve on the jury panel for HCCC’s biennial exhibition, CraftTexas 2016.
