During Spring Break week, join HCCC for hands-on making and other activities that encourage visitors of all ages to explore craft and art making. Although it’s normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, HCCC will be open all week for this event.

>>Hands-on Activities & Ask-Me Docent Tours, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

>>Self-Guided Activity Cards & Sketching in the Galleries, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Each morning of the week, participants can experiment with new materials, tools, and techniques through hands-on activities. Throughout the day, families are invited to spend time in the galleries, sketching, looking at art, and talking with experienced docents.  Visitors will discover kinetic sculptures, asteroid paintings, and installations in Escaping Earth: The Kinetic Work of Casey Curran and explore unique works that bring imaginative characters to life in Drawn to the Work: Illustration and Craft in Conversation.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the resident artists studios to gain insight into the inspirations and artistic processes of working artists.  HCCC Spring Break is free and open to the public.

Hands-on Activities
Hands-on activities require about 25 minutes to be completed. Activities will take place indoors and are on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Families and children of all ages are welcome to participate any time between 10 AM and 1 PM. Materials are provided.
