Perfect for Round Top Antique Week!

Enjoy a three-night stay at the Powell Farm in Washington County, between Brenham and Burton Texas, 68 miles from Houston. Numerous, short day trips of 20 miles or less are available to nearby towns, including Round Top, Chappell Hill, Independence, and Washington on the Brazos. Guests may also choose to stay at the farm and relax on porches, pitch horseshoes under live oaks, play croquet, or cool off in the water tank fed by a windmill-driven well.

The farm house is an historic structure built by combining and restoring two circa-1900 one-room school houses. (Washington County is the birthplace of Texas, originally settled by members of the Austin Colony in 1823 and later by German immigrants in the 1830s.) The house is 3200 square feet, with three bedrooms and three baths. Featuring a master suite (queen bed), second bedroom (double bed), and third bedroom (twin beds).
